The 1st placed team, 2 wins and a margin of 21, was Warren Bender, Dennis Maggs and Brian Seaman; 2nd place was Graham Cummins, Jon Spees and Greg Ryan, with 2 wins and a shot margin of 18. 3 place, Les Waldock, Scott Kennedy and Tony Cobcroft, 1st game loss, 2nd game win with a shot margin of 9. February 18: With two other serious competitions in the district, we still drew 28 bowlers (7 rinks pairs) to the afternoon Jack-Pot Joker, worth $400.
The day’s winners were decided by lucky rinks, with the winning team Rod Howard and Barry Lymbery, 32 shots, over, Neville Mitchell and Ken Burrows 10.
Runners-up: Tony Fryer and Neville Butt, 24 shots over, M Marchant and P, Spillane (visitors) 17.
The lucky rink draw was again carried out to see who the winning skip on that rink could cut the deck of cards and turn up the Joker.
The Skip was a visitor and was only able to turn up the Ace of Clubs, so the jackpot stands at $420.
February 19: The afternoon mixed Joe Special games had 14 players (2 rinks pairs and 1 triple).
Winners were decided by lucky rinks – Maurine Nankervis and John Downie, 18 shots, over Jan and Bruce Rapkins 15.

The scores were even but Barry’s team won on ends.
