First home game was played against Merimbula-Pambula and for some Minis they enjoyed playing for the first time in front of their families on their own field. They again gave their all with impressive performances.
Our older teams were unstoppable with wins from every age division. Mod League Tag dominated with a 52-0 win, U10’s too strong with a 34-18 win, U12’s broke their drought for Ross with a 34-12 victory, U14’s unstoppable with a 74-4 master class performance, International Girls far to good with a 34-0 win while our U16 Boys came away with a 20-12 win but with much to think about in coming training sessions with Paul.
This week was our local derby against Moruya with stunning results from all teams. From early in the day our oval was a sea of red with teams proudly wearing their distinctive new jerseys.
The day started with Eddie’s Red U7’s playing Nigel’s White U7’s in a strongly contested friendly encounter with all players enjoying their time on the field.
Eddie’s team huddle is a sensational sight with the big fellow sharing wisdom with his tiny little champions. U8’s are steadily improving their skill set under Robert’s coaching with an impressive game against a solid Moruya pack.
The scored games got under way with Andrew’s U10’s winning 28-4, Kate’s Mod Girls posting a 30-12 win, U12’s after some solid training sessions were sensational with a 56-4 result, Craig’s U14’s became our freight train with a 78-0 runaway win, International Girls had a similar win of 40-0 for Scott and U16’s returned to their normal solid game running away winners 54-4 for a much relieved Paul. Another great day for Devil teams.
Next week we again play Bega at home on Saturday at Bill Smyth Oval, come along for some exciting junior footy.
