This 8km bushwalk was through the sections of Gulaga National Park with its trees and vegetation and the farm on Dignams Creek.
The National Park provided a contrast to the cleared beef cattle farm which runs alongside Dignams Creek before the swamp. We had lunch on the verandah of the still used original old farm house which is beside Dignams Swamp and is high enough not to be affected by the occasional river floods.
The farm provides a good view of the National Park on the other side of Dignams Creek, as well as distant views of Little Dromedary and Mount Dromedary. Margaret Moran our walk leader was thanked by all the walkers for showing us this lovely part of our coast.
The bushwalk on Saturday, May 20 on Hulleys Road and Stony Creek area in the Bodalla State Forest was cancelled due the rain flooding Stony Creek which we had to cross twice.
Our Annual General Meeting is on next Saturday, May 27 and our bushwalking program is now available, listing all the exciting walks to be done this winter.
