The bank closure was discussed at the chamber meeting on Tuesday night, when members voted to close the chambers own account with ANZ and move it to another bank that still had a local presence in Narooma.
Mr Bendixsen expressed his sympathy with the bank employees and said the closure would have a particular impact on businesses that banked their weekly takings with the bank.
He also said having Narooma customers travel to the next nearest bank in Batemans Bay or Bega was not realistic.
