The Narooma Seahorses continued to play netball games like superstars. Amazing defence and attack was witnessed from all players and the girls notched up another great victory.
The Seahorses were once again two players short but managed to finish with an 11 -1 score line in their favour. Every week this team continues to grow and develop, making everyone involved very proud.
The Narooma Novas had another outstanding game. As they have done all year, they dominated their opponents with their urgency in attack. Grace moved well into space all game, Marli and Ava made some strong passes, Cerys and Anwen worked well under the goal post and Lucy, Sarah and Eve showed great defensive skills. Man of the match went to Ava for her communication and leadership.
The Narooma Nightmares played Broulee Bay Coast and Plumbing in round 7. During this game, the girls defended well, stuck to their players and made space for their team mates to drive forward for the ball. They were only 2 points down at the end of the first quarter, thanks to Elli and Sienna’s sensational shooting.
The Nightmares continued to play hard, with our Captain Anna’s passion for the game resulting in another epic fall, but as usual she got up and kept going. It doesn’t matter what position she plays, she is fierce. Hollie has definitely found her calling in WA and WD, but also tried out GS for the first time! Her shooting at training has improved so much, along with her confidence.
Teagan continued to be in the right place at the right time and Jemma, Piper and Elli’s work in GK helped stop too many goals going in. Emily was back from Fiji and rose to the challenge in GD.
Although the opposition’s points increased faster than the Nightmares, the girls did not give up. They continued to challenge their opponents, having a laugh along the way, until the final buzzer, with the end result 34-22 in favour of Broulee.
The Narooma Shooting Stars played an excellent game against Broulee Buzz Bees. Throughout the game, great passes were made, goals were scored and the girls had lots of fun. Bridie was our captain this week and was a superstar whilst playing centre.
Meah, Topaz and Lily scored goals and showed their skills transferring from training into the game. Claire and Emily were superb defenders in GK and got some rebounds.
Libby and Chloe were tremendous attackers in WA as they darted forward to receive the ball from the centre pass. Overall the girls had a great game and they should be very proud of themselves!
The Under 11 Sapphires were defeated by their toughest rivals in the competition on Saturday. The girls defence was strong and their team work gave them a couple opportunities at the scoreboard. They worked hard at their longer passes this week .
