The U11s started with a good win over Broulee/Moruya giants. With good numbers on both sides it was a closely fought game in cold conditions with the dew making the ball very slippery.
Best for Narooma were; W.Tiffen. A. Hummel. R. Simper. T. Wilson. Goals to ; L. Allison. A. Hummel. F. Frisken. Score; 3-5-23 to 2-3-15.
The U13s had a ripper of a game. They led well all day until Broulee/Moruya made a late charge to almost steal the game, but Narooma held on for gutsy win. 3-6-24 to 3-3-21.
K. Carlson had a ripper with 3 goals. Best were ; K.Carlson. M.Parker. A. Patmore.
The U16s and Reserves both had good wins with great numbers for both games. Good to see the 16s playing well and training well. The reserves are working to something special but must start to get numbers to training as again with players returning spot are up for grabs.
After two close losses the women’s team came out firing against a tough Broulee side. Our Women went hard from start to finish in a physical contest taking control early.
We are starting to play some good team footy with everybody doing their bit for the team and team mates. We lost Maddie & Alice early to injury but this didn’t stop our flowing game, with goals coming at will.
Hope Maddie and Alice get back soon. Scores; 10-7-67 to 0-0-0-. Goals went to R. Kincaid -4, S.Taylor- 2. Best were; Z. Betts, H.Betts, L. Stephens. M. Hewson. K. Mackie.
Last game was the Seniors vs Bermagui in the local derby. With both sides trying to cement a spot in the 4 it was always going to be a tough game.
Bermagui were hard at it from the start but Narooma took it all in and maintained the lead all game. Butters mackie had a day out kicking a bag of ten. If not for poor kicking early it would have been a much bigger win.
Scores; 15-17-107 to 11-7-73. Best were; N.Carter. T. Clarke. L. Talty. L. Clothier. S. Mackie. Next week another big day with all grades against Pambula at home. See you there. GO LIONS!
