We started out at the Brou picnic area, and followed the Mummuga walking trail and then the tail through the park to Brou Lake Road.
Here we used the new and old road to make our way to Lake Brou and then to Brou Beach where we looked out for the whales traveling north.
Using the cliff top path again to give a better view of the whales, we headed south, and joined the beach at the end of the path. We walked along the beach and had lunch on the rocks whilst smiling for the camera.
After lunch, we walked through the park back to the cars and thanked Maggie Finch for the beautiful walk. Saturday 17 June, we were on the beach again, and we saw whales.
Breaching vertical out of the water sometimes three or four together, then laying on their backs before rolling over and vanishing from our view.
Anyway, back to the walk, starting from beautiful McKenzies Beach we walk out to Pretty Point for morning tea and this provided our amazing view of the whales.
There where groups of whales in close, some a bit further out and some way out to sea yet all visible in their usual ways. Back to the walk we continued along Pretty Point Bay and reached Malua Bay, turning we arrived back at McKenzies Beach and thanked Bev Brazel for the enjoyable 6km walk and whale watch.
