Wilton and the rest of coach Brad Fittler's NSW Under-18s team faces Queensland on Wednesday afternoon in the curtain-raiser before Origin II at ANZ Stadium.
“Massive achievement for a small town Narooma lad!” his mother Vanessa said.
Wilton is in Year 12 and a former student at Narooma High School. He has a three-year contract with Cronulla.
He moved away to Endeavour Sports High School in September last year to honour his contract.
“He has had an amazing year so far making NSW CHS schoolboys’ side,” Vanessa said. “He plays for an Australian jumper in Penrith in the upcoming school holidays.”
He recently played in the SG Ball Cup where Cronulla and Parramatta made the grand-final. The SG Ball Cup is an 17-team under-18s competition conducted by the NSW Rugby League.
Cronulla lost but Wilton scored an amazing try. He was selected from all the SG Ball sides and made the Under 18 State of Origin side.

The NSW Under 18s match will be live streamed on the website from 5.10pm on Wednesday evening.
