Although perhaps not in the super-pod of super-group category of hundreds of whales, there were multiple pods of whales cruising past between the mainland and Montague Island.
The northerly migration of humpback whales is obviously reaching its peak but it won’t be long before the first whales start heading south again, putting on even greater show.
Anyone spotting a whale is encouraged to log their sighting on the Wild About Whales app available here at https://www.wildaboutwhales.com.au/app
