Serious accident – Police investigated a two-vehicle crash on the Cobargo-Bermagui Road involved two vehicles in a head-on collision one kilometre east of Cobargo about 6.30am, Thursday, July 6. The road was closed to traffic while police awaited crash scene investigators.

The drivers of both vehicles were taken to hospital, with one driver taken to Canberra suffering a leg injury. A police spokeswoman said mandatory testing was done, with no indication of a cause as yet.
Vehicle fire – Police responded to reports to a vehicle on fire on Mitchells Ridge Road, Bodalla at 5.45pm last Tuesday. The vehicle was completely destroyed and had no identifying features.
Theft from van – Unknown persons broke into a caravan at Regatta Point Holiday Park, Wallaga Lake between Thursday and Saturday stealing a surfboard, boogie board, fishing rods and a television. Crime scene investigators attended.
Shoplifter caught – A 41-year-old Bega woman was charged with stealing and issued a banning notice after she was allegedly caught stealing six packets of chicken nuggets and a roast chicken from the supermarket at the Narooma Plaza at 3pm on Friday.
Entry gained – Entry was gained to a residence at Coolagolite after a front window was forced open between June 29 and Saturday, but nothing was reported stolen.
Smoking implement – A vehicle stopped at Dignams Creek for a minor traffic offence at 9.10am on Sunday resulted in police locating a smoking implement and giving a cannabis caution to a 25-year-old Bega woman.
Firearms amnesty – Narooma police have started taking in unregistered firearms and weapons as part of the current national firearms amnesty that continues until September 30.
