Dalmeny Narooma bushwalkers

LAST Thursday was an exploratory walk of a property close to home yet rarely visited. The paths and tracks saw us walking 10km past old gum trees and glimpses of the sea and lake. Prior to lunch we stopped on a headland and saw many whales and some with calf, and they were in close to shore and many appeared to be playing.

On Saturday, the six bushwalkers with an early start travelled to Bermagui and walked 11km around some interesting parts of Nutley’s Creek Road. The combination of old forest and farmland made the walk different to our usual bushwalk, which mainly followed our favourite tracks in the area.

The week away next March is based near Adaminaby with walks around Tantangara Reservoir, and Heather Ferguson is taking bookings now.
