Bermi Field & Game

YET another magnificent days shooting at the Bermagui range was enjoyed by local and visiting shooters from Bega and Quirindi. This month’s shoot on Sunday was kindly sponsored by Willy and Sue White of Aqua 1 who donated an impressive range of outdoor and recreational equipment as prizes for those fortunate enough to be among the winners.

Willy and his band of helpers had set a good mixture of challenging targets. The event comprised 100 targets contested over six shooting stations and was scored according to each shooter’s handicap.  This allowed a few shooters to take out prizes by edging out others shooting higher scores in their grades. The usual good humour abounded; Mario Magrin had to take a bit of stick from his mates when his wife Barbie outshone him in a few of the rounds.

Results were: High Gun Bob Duncan 119

The shoot raffle and an opportunity to shoot for $500 was won by Graeme Tunbridge. Graeme started strongly however had to settle for the consolation prize after being suitably distracted by the assembled well-wishers. Lucky member prize was won by Jamie Price and the lucky shooter prize was won by Zip Summerell.

The club’s Christmas shoot is on November 25 with lots of seasons fare as prizes. Visiting shooters of all shotgun disciplines will be made most welcome.
