Saturday, October 27  - The annual Captain’s Red Team versus President’s Blue Team 4BBB Stableford event with 99 starters

For the fourth year in a row the President’s Team headed by Ron Lye and Barbara Harrop took out the 2012 honours with an overall score of 932 points. The Captain’s Team lead by Derek Quinto and Wilma Scarpin came in with 909 points.

There was conjecture that in a strategic move to assist the winning chances the Men’s Golf President Ron Lye planted Charlie Bennett and Trevor Hemsted into the Captain’s Team as between the two of them they could only muster 23 stableford points on the day.

The winning pair for the President’s Team was Peter Godsall and Leslie Holmes with 43 points and on the Captain’s side the husband and wife team of Jim and Lyn Manton came in with the best score of the day 44 points but no cigar.

It was another great day on the Bermagui golf calendar with a barbecue and refreshments at the finish.
