Positive-test accident – A single-vehicle accident occurred in southern Narooma on the Princes Highway through town at 11pm on Saturday night, August 12 when a 25-year-old local man lost control and rolled his utility onto its side, coming to rest on a vacant block. The man failed a roadside breath test and was then taken to hospital by ambulance. Police investigations continue.

Centre damage – Narooma police continue to investigate a number of incidents of damage and vandalism, including a fire, at the Narooma Visitor Information Centre over the past week. Anyone seeing any suspicious activity, particularly after dark, is encouraged to call Narooma police on 4476 20144 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
Boat stolen – A 2014 model Quintrex boat was stolen from a Wallaga Lake caravan park sometime between April 26 and August 10. Anyone with information is asked to contact local police or Crime Stoppers.
Bermagui break-in: Bermagui Police are investigating a break and enter into a residential property in Bunga Street, Bermagui. The incident occurred sometime over the weekend of the August 12-13 with entry gained by forcing a rear window. No persons were at home. Police will forensically examine the scene.
Noise complaint – Police attended a unit on McMillan Road, Narooma at 10pm on Monday, August 7 due to a noise complaint. Occupants were issued with a 28-day noise abatement notice but also received an infringement notice for offensive language after allegedly becoming abusive toward officers.
Valuable elkhorn – A valuable elkhorn plant worth $300 was stolen from the backyard of an Fairhaven property between July 30 and August 3.
