Mid-range drink driver charged in absentia at Narooma

A Dalmeny man received a fine of $1500 and had his licence disqualified for 12 months after he was tried in absentia at Narooma Local Court on Thursday, August 17.

Mitchell Dwyer, 25, of Dalmeny did not appear in court but was found guilty and convicted of mid-range drink driving, with the offence occurring in Dalmeny on August 5, 2017.

According to the police facts, Dwyer was stopped on Ruth Place, failed a roadside breath test and later recorded a reading of 0.117.
