The new SAGE Veggies for All workshops will give 100 local residents an affordable introduction to veggie gardening.
SAGE - Sustainable Agriculture and Gardening Eurobodalla - is running five Veggies for All Workshops in the Eurobodalla during September and October.
The cost of the introductory workshop is only $10 due to a community grant from the IMB Bank.
“We have already booked 65 people into the workshops and are really pleased with the positive reception that this project has received,” said Kathryn Maxwell, SAGE home garden coordinator.
“People have expressed great appreciation about this opportunity. We only have 35 spots left, so this is a call out to others in the community to be quick and book their place.”
There is also an opportunity for participants to get a free veggie garden. Attendees who are concession card holders will also have the option of getting an above ground veggie garden bed installed in their garden and planted at no cost at all.
“The generous support of Bunnings Batemans Bay, Phil Timms seedling grower, and D&A Excavations and Haulage landscape suppliers means that SAGE can help set up 50 low-income participants with their own home veggie garden,” she said.
