The event will include both estuary and beach fishing, and no licence is required for attending adults.
Registration will begin at 8am at the Tuross Boatshed on Trafalgar Road, with fishing until 1pm.
Catch details and presentations will begin at the conclusion of the five-hour fishing session at the Tuross Head Country Club on Monash Avenue.
Although fishing is the main focus of the event, there will also be a number of other activities on the day for those who like dry land.
The country club will be running ‘barefoot bowls’ throughout the event, and will be running a raffle throughout the day.
The event will include a free BBQ lunch, as well as a jumping castle, fairy floss and touch tanks for the little ones.
To register for the day, call 0455304072 or email theccfc2017@gmail.com.
Funding for this event has been due to a grant from the Recreational Fishing Trust.
