Batemans Bay Marine Rescue returned the vessel and its occupant safely to Narooma harbour.
A “mayday” call was made to Narooma Marine rescue just after noon, when the boat was blown close to rocks.
Due to crew members being called away, Narooma Marine Rescue was unable to attend. Bar conditions made it too dangerous for Tuross Marine Rescue’s smaller vessel. Batemans Bay Marine Rescue vessel BM30 launched at 12.47, with six crew members. The Westpac Life Saver helicopter was also sent. BM30 returned home by 6.38pm.
