Thursday, Oct. 5: A sound field of 128 players took to the course under favorable conditions of long run, wispy breezes and true greens with a resultant DSR of a consistent 71. In A Grade veteran Laurie Holmes had a great round of one over par off his handicap of 8 to register 43 points , aided by an eagle on the fifth. Graham Kerr took second place with 40 points on countback from Scott Ker who went round in one under par. In B Grade Peter James finally emerged victorious with 41 points off his handicap of 14, albeit on countback from David Hayward, while Kevin Seamons finished third one point behind with 40 points. C Grade was taken out by Jim Hoar who recorded 42 points off his handicap of 24, one ahead of fellow "skins" Gary Leahy and John Murray. The nearest-the-pin winners were Justin Bennett on 3, Brett Thompson on 9, Simon Carr on 14 with a hole-in-one and Scott Kerr on 17, while the ball competition went down to all on 35 points.
Saturday, Oct. 7: In the final round of the President's Trophy and the last Monthly Medal of the year 112 players hit off resulting in a consistent DSR of 72. In A Grade Chris Brown had the best net score of 71 off his handicap of 5, one better than Terry O'Callaghan, while Bill Hannam took third place with 73 on countback from Graham Kerr and Richard Goodridge. In B Grade countback decided the result with three players recording a score of net 71. Glenn Mood off a handicap of 13 took the honours ahead of Trevor Breust and Bill Anderson. In C Grade Perry Pericleous registered the best score of the day with net 70 off his handicap of 22, thereby winning the grade and the Monthly Medal for the second time this year. Hugh Crawford finished ahead of Frank Clarke on countback with net 71, with Lyle Healey going away empty-handed. The nearest-the-pin winners were Geoff Broadfoot pn 3 again, Tony Cobcroft on 9, Terry O'Callaghan on 14 and Ricky Falconer on 17, while the ball competition went down to all on 76 net.
The final placings in the President's Trophy saw Peter Elliott finish on top with 21 points, followed by Chris Eardley on 16 and Michael Commins on 14. RGI

Wednesday 4th of October was a Monthly Medal Stroke round. The Monthly Medal winner was H. McMillan with nett 68. The DPP was won by D. Monteith and the putting competition was won by T. James with 28 putts on a count back.
Winner of Division 1 was M. Brooks with nett 71. The winner of Division 2 with nett 68 was H. McMillan. No one got on the 3rd green to win the Nearest the Pin for Division 1. On the 14th hole the winner was M. Brooks for Division 2 and on the 17th hole D. Williamson was the winner. Balls went to 77 on a count back.
