Music lovers are urged not to miss the final concert in the 2017 Montague Visiting Artists Series when Melbourne’s Ormond String Quartet will perform in St Paul’s Anglican Church at 2.30pm on Saturday, October 28.

Originally scheduled to perform in 2018, the Quartet agreed to step in this year to replace Ana De La Vega and Daniel Rhoen who are expecting the birth of their first child in Germany.
The Quartet is “Quartet in Residence “ at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music and is made up of internationally acclaimed artists with performing experiences from all over the world.
In addition to their performance engagements the Ormonds are all members of the teaching faculty at the Conservatorium, the members being violinists Curt Thompson and Markiyan Melnychenko, violist Simon Oswell , and cellist Alvin Wong.
