Not a chair was left unoccupied at the Narooma Quota Club’s trivia night on Friday, as community members showed their support for the Cancer Council’s Eurobodalla Relay for Life.

Cancer Council community coordinator, Kate Brett travelled all the way from Wollongong to lend her support, and to thank the Quota Club for its assistance.
Relay for Life raises funds for cancer support and education, for sun-safe programs, and transportation to treatment. Registrations for the relay were on sale during the evening for just $5.
Carol Hodges’ team won the event and donated their $100 prize to Relay for Life. The team members were: Carol Hodges, July Vacca, Marie Small, Anne Blakeman, Derek Moritz and Janice Moritz.
Settling for second place by just a small margin was the team of Jan Rapley, Kathy Stockings, Warwick Huntsdale, Keith Tiller, Jan Hemmingsen, June Hemmingsen, Chris O’Brien and Ange Ulrichsen.
Gilly Kearney’s brilliant Squiggle again earned her team the Squiggle award. Her team members were: Kay Lawrence, Deirdre Landells, Mandy Anderson, Leone Whelan, Dianne Wilkes, and Lorraine McCarthy.
Violet Young’s impressive Squiggle, garnered second place for the Lighthouse Surgery team. Sue Fahey and Margaret Brown won the raffle prizes.
MC Rosemary Towers offered a $50 donation to Relay for Life to the table that came up with the best name for a Relay for Life Team, as judged by Kate Brett. Deirdre Landells at Table 7, came up with the name “Cure-em-quick”, which was the name of a cough lolly in days gone by.
Quota’s next Trivia Night will be held in May 2018 when the beneficiary will be Bodalla Netball.
