Steven Roy Babidge, 23, appeared in Narooma Local Court on Thursday, February 15.
He pleaded guilty to three charges and was fined $500 for failing to leave the premises, $750 for damaging property and another $750 for common assault.
He was also ordered to pay $200 compensation for smashing a glass window.
The incident occurred on October 14, 2017 when Mr Babidge had been drinking at the Imperial Hotel with friends.
According to police documents tendered to the court, he was seen by witnesses leaning over the bar and drinking beer directly from the tap.
When asked to leave by hotel management, he denied drinking from the tap and grabbed a staff member placing him in a headlock.
He continued to yell and swear before punching out a glass panel in the front door.
He then left the area with friends and was later located by police.
Magistrate Doug Dick said Mr Babidge’s behaviour was outrageous and he could have been facing jail time for the assault matter.
