Camera Club
The subject for the Narooma Camera Club’s August competition and meeting will be Patterns in Nature, judged by local photographer Francis Keogh. Francis will also give a talk on composition. Interested visitors and new members welcome at Club Narooma, from 7pm, on Tuesday, August 1. Anyone with an interest in how to better use their camera are welcome to the club’s freindly monthly meetings. Information at 4476 5351.

Narooma VIEW Club
With the View Club’s next meeting on Daffodil Day, Friday, August 24, this month’s speaker will be Kelly Hayes from the Cancer Council.
Meetings are held on the fourth Friday of the month, in the Seahorse Room at the Narooma Golf Club. Arrival is 11am for an 11.30am start.

Lace and Tatting
Marion Goard is inviting the interested public to the next monthly Far South Coast Lace Group meeting.
Anyone interested in making bobbin lace, tatting or knitted lace can join the next meeting at 33 Eastaway Avenue, North Narooma, from 10am, on Thursday, August 23.

Live Music
Graham Scobie advises of a number of gigs along the South Coast this weekend.
Friday sees Joe Quennell playing a the Tura Beach Club from 7.30pm and Dave Newman and Pambula’s Top Pub from 8pm. On Saturday, August 18, Dave Newman backs-sup Friday’s effort with a gig at the Tuross Club, from 7.30pm, while on Sunday Joe Quennell plays at Bermagui Club from 4.30pm.

Further north, the Eurobodalla Country Music and Social Club will hold its free monthly concert in the air-conditioned comfort of the Mechanics Institute Hall, Nelligen, on Sunday, August 26.
Commencing at 11am, entertainers include Alan Neal, Steve O’Meley, Wayne Gumm, Doug Daniel, and Bob Varty, amongst others. Light refreshments are available; raffle and chocolate wheels are held to help defray expenses – the club supports the Batemans Bay and Moruya Hospital Auxiliaries.
