Norwest Private Hospital is in the rapidly developing North West corridor of Sydney and is operated by Healthscope, a leading provider of private healthcare in Australia. The hospital has 277 beds and is a high acuity facility with an Emergency Department located in Sydney's Bella Vista.
The Role
As a Clinical Midwife Specialist (CMS) you will demonstrate leadership and role modelling in the care of postpartum women seeking postnatal care within the Private Healthcare setting. The CMS is also responsible for the delivery of quality women's centred care, developing standards of practice, implementing changes to clinical practice and initiating research and quality improvement activities. You will work as part of the health care team participating in working parties or committees as required and demonstrate a commitment to continuous quality improvement.
The Department
Our Women's Health Unit is a 43 bed post/antenatal/gynecology ward with 7 birthing suite rooms. Supporting this service is a 7 bed level 2 Special Care Nursery. An opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Clinical Midwifery Specialist to join our team on a full-time/part time basis. We are looking for an expert postnatal ward midwife, who is committed to excellence, has extensive skills in post-partum care as well as a passion for delivery of woman centered care.
