About the engagement:
Green Light have an exciting opportunity for a high calibre, experienced Presales Architect (Network Security) to join one of our delivery partners based in Brisbane. This position will provide high level of solution design and consultation, working closely with internal stakeholders to successfully integrate a complex technical environment.
 
The role will focus on working on the architecture and integration of a multi-platform environment consisting of multiple network platforms. The SME will be providing advice on the current state of the network architecture and provide technical guidance in relation to data management, backup and disaster recovery planning as a consultant into Federal government end customers.
 
The Presales Architect (Network Security) will contribute to the high-level design of network architecture, standards, procedures and guidelines for multiple platforms and systems. The role requires a forward-thinking individual with the ability to speak with business and operational personnel regarding new and existing technologies and making recommendations when required. 
Responsibilities: 

• Provide expert advice and analysis to key stakeholders on the network of an existing solution
• Function as the Subject Matter Expert and provide guidance to ensure outcomes are achieved
• Experienced delivering network integration solutions with large, enterprise environments
• Plan & solution high-level architecture for an ongoing project
• Analyse and assess security incidents and escalate to appropriate internal teams for additional assistance
• Facilitate implementation of designated framework and relevant procedures

Required:  

• 10+ years professional experience as a Network Architect – Juniper, Cisco, Palo Alto, IDS/IPS
• Technical SME integrating network platforms into enterprise and localized technologies.
• Proven experience planning and delivering significant network solutions as a consultant into end customers
• Technically agnostic across multiple platform / technologies
• Strong understanding of ITIL & change management standards and processes
• Experience providing high level business leadership and strategic advice to stakeholders.
