Senior Policy Officer

Your new company
An opportunity exists for a driven Senior Policy Officer to join a renowned Health organisation based in St Leonards. This organisation is seeking an individual with a wealth of experience to join them on a temporary basis for 7 months.

Your new role
In your role as a Senior Policy Officer, you will coordinate the development and implementation of a range of projects and policy initiatives.

• You will be responsible for performing project management and policy development while providing informed advice to internal and external stakeholders.
• You will research, analyse, and review complex policy and project issues by identifying emerging issues, developing evidence-based options, and recommending solutions to resolve issues.
• You will lead a range of project management activities including preparation of reports, maintaining project documentation, and monitoring project plans to ensure outcomes are achieved.
• Prepare high quality and insightful written materials such as policy papers, meeting papers, and reports for Senior Executives and the Minister.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will have a degree in a relevant discipline and/or extensive working experience in policy related roles. You will have the ability to provide expert policy advice while researching and preparing written materials including reports and policy papers. You will have strong knowledge and experience with stakeholder engagement while having the ability to adopt to flexible and innovative approaches in changing situations.

What you'll get in return
This role provides a chance for you to assist in state government for an anticipated 7 months. For your hard work and dedication, you will be remunerated between $48-$72 per hour plus super. This role is based in St Leonards with hybrid working arrangements.
