The new Honour Roll lists servicemen and women from the Second World War who were either born in the Narooma district from Corunna north to Stony Creek, or who lived in Narooma at the time they enlisted, or enlisted in Narooma, as well as members of the local Volunteer Defence Force.
It was funded by the Narooma Historical Society, thanks to a $1,506 heritage grant from Eurobodalla Shire Council, as well as $1000 from the RSL Sub-Branch and $200 from Narooma Quota International.
The Narooma Remembrance Day service was then held down at Club Narooma on a rainy Monday underneath the shelter of the club’s veranda.
Narooma RSL sub branch president Paul Naylor presided over the ceremony honouring veterans of all wars.
