The mosaics consisted of new and rejuvenated items displaying quirky, unique and colourful styles. Many of the paintings were mixed media also.
A large mannequin sporting pink mosaic underwear by Jan Atkinson dominated the centre of the room, while her piece of red budgie smugglers complete with two cheeky budgies peeking out was snapped up by Tim Burke of Narooma.
There was a life-size mosaic surfboat, mosaic outdoor settings a cute mosaic frog planted with a strawberry plant.
Sharing a love of art, the Artful Nine is a group of nine local friends who gather fortnightly to work mainly in the mediums of mosaics and painting.
Unfortunately the show wrapped up yesterday but the artists could be contacted through the Montague Arts and Crafts Society network.
The Artful Nine show comes on the heels of "Just Another Day in Paradise" exhibition by Cheryl Hill at the gallery.
The lucky winner of the viewer’s choice draw was Elaine Passfield of Dalmeny. Elaine received one of Cheryl’s original oil paintings “Beaches of Narooma”.
Cheryl would like to thank all those who visited the exhibition and left a wealth of wonderful comments.
If you missed getting to the exhibition, you can still see Cheryl’s work at her Kianga studio, call her on 4476 3358.
