Sophie competed in the MLC Tennis Hot Shot of the Year competition.
Unfortunately she didn’t win, but felt fortunate to be in the top 12 out of 4000 entries.
A highlight of the trip for Sophie was getting to sit courtside while Rodger Federer warmed up on Rod Laver Arena.
Sophie also got to have a hit at Monash University where Evonne Goolagong watched her and apparently was very impressed.
Meanwhile AJ attended the Goolagong National Camp at Monash University. According to the sibling’s mum, Stacey Hall, the camp involved some pretty intense training.
Players trained in two-hour blocks twice a day, on court in temperatures exceeding 40 degrees.
AJ was very tired but managed to keep up with everyone despite being the youngest player.
He then go to the Australian Open and watched Gael Monfils play, getting a snapshot with singing celebrity Redfoo.
