Full canteen facilities will be available, and of course the ice-cream truck will be a welcome addition during these hot summer days.
The featured divisions for this meeting will include: Super Production, Under 1600s, Vintage and Formula 500s, Second Drivers, Speedway Karts, Aussie Sixes, and Series Sedans.
The Legend Cars will be running the first round of the Legend Country Series with the feature race being 20 laps. Also the life member Jeff Murphy aged 89 years will be driving the Legend support car on the day.
Spectators are being invited to come and meet the drivers and look over the race cars following the trophy presentations, which will be in the pit area after the meeting.
As always the track has been prepared and maintained by the tireless team of volunteers and will no doubt be in fantastic condition for race day.
Chief Steward Arthur Flower and his team of flag marshalls will have their eyes on the ball to ensure that all runs smoothly on the day.
This meeting will also be a special day for the club’s fundraising efforts towards the Oncology Unit at Moruya. Raffle tickets will support this very worthy cause. There will be a moment’s silence to remember those whom we’ve lost to cancer and to honour our cancer survivors.
This is another great opportunity to take the family out for an action-packed day and enjoy all our area has to offer. The Far South Coast is not just about beautiful beaches, scenic wonders and magnificent coastlines. We are also spoilt for choice when it comes to sports, so come and experience motorsport, dirt track style here on the south coast!!
Event organisers encourage everyone to have a bit of fun this Australia Day long weekend by painting faces, wearing the green and gold or red, white and blue - it’s totally up to you. Feel free to fly our Aussie flags with pride on Saturday at Moruya Speedway.
