Jim acknowledged the terrific effort David put into Narooma Golf Club and the significant turnaround the club has achieved under his leadership.
“The club thanks him most sincerely for his contributions and wishes him well for the future,” he said.
Jim is a long-standing Narooma resident of 32 years and comes well qualified for the caretaker job. He is an ex-bank manager, a business broker, a finance broker, a real estate licence holder, an on-site property manager and a workplace assessor.
He also conducts business seminars, and has been a justice of the peace for 40 years.
On the golfing side he has hacked away for over 50 years with a handicap not straying too far away from eight.
Members will notice some changes to the course and club house in the immediate future the gaming room will be extended and air conditioned, and hopefully the club will have some more machinery on the course.
Jim said he wanted to let the members know that the club was in good hands and that a feature of his leadership will be to ensure open communication, board harmony and best practice, and greater attention to the course.
Members are encouraged to read the “What’s on” bulletins that are regularly posted on the notice board to keep them up to date.
