Inaugural Narooma Seniors Tennis Tournament

THE inaugural Narooma Seniors Tennis Tournament is on April 12 and 13. The Narooma Tennis Club will host this exciting new over 35s tennis tournament with events in women’s doubles, men’s doubles and mixed doubles.

All events will be round-robin format so, win or lose everyone will get plenty of tennis.

In addition, all players will go in the draw to win a two-night stay in a fabulous waterfront cabin at Easts Holiday Park Narooma plus other great prizes!

The tournament is sanctioned by Tennis Seniors NSW and forms part of a state-wide “circuit” of over 35s tennis tournaments.

While play is always competitive, matches are played in a friendly sporting spirit. Across the range of age groups, players demonstrate impressive levels of skill and fitness.

Narooma Tennis Club president Kathie Thackray said, “We would like to see this tournament become an annual event and hope to attract both local and visiting players. We have already received entries from the ACT, Shoalhaven and Bega districts, as well as from locals.”

The program is for men’s doubles on Saturday morning, women’s doubles on Saturday afternoon, mixed doubles on Sunday morning followed by a complimentary barbecue lunch to wind up a great weekend of tennis.

Entries close Friday, March 28. Entry forms and all other information available from or call Brian Carmichael on 4473 6669.
