Organisers would have been worried when violent thunderstorms hit the Bermagui Narooma area on Friday evening.
But they must have breathed a huge sigh of relief when Saturday morning dawned bright and clear.
The theme of “Out of this World” saw some great costumes in the parade with the Bermagui community and business really outdoing themselves this year.
There were lots of aliens, scary faces, spacemen and genies. Bermagui Little Lambs preschool won the best float.
River Cottage Australia was filming during the fair with host Paul West and his crew setting up a stall offering a special dish using produce grown on the farm.
New to the fair this year was the auction of the “Umbrellas of Bermagui”, wonderful creations by local artists that were sold off to raise funds to build the Bermagui skate park.
Bidding was strong with the 15 or so umbrellas selling for as much as around $800.
