A BIKE rider crashed his Moto Guzzi motorbike after failing to negotiate the steep drop at the southern end of the new Victoria Creek Road at Central Tilba at 1.35pm Saturday.
The 58-year-old Berowra man was stabilised on scene by paramedics with a suspected punctured lung and broken ribs before being transported to Bega Hospital by road ambulance.
Kitchen fire
POLICE responded to kitchen fire on Tatiara Street, Dalmeny at 10.45pm Saturday after a frying pan with oil was left on a hot stove.
The resident was able to extinguish the blaze with their own fire extinguisher but the kitchen and stove was damaged and the house smoke damaged.
Mailboxes smashed
FIVE mailboxes on Green Tyrrells Road, Coolagolite on the Bermagui Cobargo Road were smashed at around 10pm Thursday.
A dark car and a smashing sound were seen and heard at the time leading police to believe the vehicle deliberately or accidently mowed down the mailboxes.
Jewellery missing
A PARKLANDS, Narooma resident reported to police last week that some of their jewellery had gone missing between September and November.
No license
POLICE charged a 27-year-old man for driving unlicensed after he was stopped on Lamont Street, Bermagui at 10.30pm on March 8.
No P-plate
A 23-year-old driver in Bermagui was issued a ticket on Sunday for not displaying a P-Plate.
No helmet
A FINE was issued to a cyclist in Narooma on Saturday for not wearing a helmet.
