They were found by Frankie Sergi and Hayley Robinson from Ciccios Café located at the beach.
Frankie said the larger of the two was still breathing and so he waded in and released it, and while it was weak it did give a kick of its tail.
The smaller of the two Port Jackson sharks however was dead and wrapped in some seaweed and had suffered significant damage or trauma with some its internal organs showing.
Frankie and Hayley are not sure what caused the sharks to wash up in such poor form.
There had been some big seas and rough conditions on Tuesday, but it was unclear whether the two sharks had washed up because of natural conditions or some kind of foul play.
