Klaas and his wife have lived in Narooma for 21 years coming here from Croydon in Melbourne where he worked as an Industrial Engineer.
“Moving is a hard decision to make, but when you make up your mind you want it happen as soon as possible,” they both said.
Noel lost his wife Lorraine to cancer seven years ago and would like to spend more time with his family.
He has already sold his house and plans to move to the Yarra Valley in Melbourne to be with his three daughters Anne-Marie, Adele and Clare and his seven granddaughters Bethany, Grace, Isabella, Olivier, Georgia, Madeline and Brigit.
“I’m going to enjoy going to the footy with them,” he said.
Noel has devoted a lot of time to junior sport in Narooma and is the patron of the Narooma Devils Junior Rugby League Club.
Since he has been in Narooma Noel has played bowls, golf, worked for the Coastal Patrol and he also started the Narooma Croquet Club.
“We have had an exciting and interesting time working with the board over the years,” he said.
