Wazza and Simon from Lighthouse Charters let us know that they were on the kingfish at Montague Island off Narooma again this morning.
On board were Ross and Steve from Young, NSW and Charlie, John, Kevin and Daniel from Sydney.
Live yakkas were the go again and they ended up with 11 kingfish, the biggest 79cm.
Conditions were pretty much the same yesterday and Charter Fish Narooma’s Playstation skipper Nick Cowley also sent us a couple of pics of his catch of four kingfish yesterday.
The charter skippers did have to work a little harder with the kingfish a little scarcer or not as willing to bite as in the weeks before the last big blow, but at least there are some bigger ones!
Speaking of big blows there is a forecast for a southerly to hit the South Coast tonight peaking at around 9pm with 30knot winds, but conditions should ease by Sunday allowing more to access offshore.
But in the meantime why not to what some visitors from Melbourne did yesterday and get out on one of the many Far South Coast estuaries.
“Cuttagee Pad” and the kids enjoyed a mellow day kayaking on a lake south of Bermagui for some nice bream around the 30cm mark.
Get out there and get fishing!
