THE Narooma Swim Club travelled to Ulladulla on the weekend to compete in the South Eastern Swimming Association short course Championships and Speedo Sprint Series.

The outstanding performances from the Narooma team of eight swimmers resulted in excellent standards of swimming throughout the Championships. Swimmers enjoyed the atmosphere of the meet and the chance to put their swimming skills to the test among strong competition. There were many Personal Best (PB’s) swims along with medals for placing's as well as new championship records being set by Narooma swimmers.
The combined efforts of Josh Ryan, Michala and Georgia Pendergast, Ivy, Ruby and Sophie O'Meara and Tracy and Banjo King resulted in Narooma Swim Club placing fifth overall out of 20 teams in the race for South East Swimming Association champion club.
Michala, Josh, Ruby and Sophie all swam strongly for the weekend with excellent results across the pool throughout their events resulting in PB's and medals.
In the fast paced relay events the 11 years and under girls relay team with Ruby, Sophie, Michala and Georgia also medalled collecting first in the 200m freestyle and second in the 200m medley relays.
For their individual efforts, age champion awards were received by Tracy (girls 15 and over), Banjo (boys 11 years), Ivy (girls 8 years) and Georgia (girls 11 years). In addition Georgia also received the girls Swimmer of the Meet award.
Overall another great meet for the Narooma swimmers continuing to develop and improve their swimming through dedication and training.
