About 10 minutes into the second half a Bega player head high tackled Riley and should have been sent off for good, but only received 10 minutes in the bin.
Bega scored a runaway try 25 minutes in, bringing the score to 26-10. Hope was running out for the Narooma lads when Bega went in again 32-10. Not to completely give in, Ali crossed for a try and Jermaine kicked with the final score 32-16.

Junior Devils win over little Roosters
ON Saturday, May 15 the two Narooma U7 teams hosted Bega. The first game the Devils played the Bega Roosters where a young Bega unfit team found it hard to make a dent in the tough Narooma defence. Narooma sent many attacking raids over the try line with Riley Dawson, Rueban Booth, Sam Patmore and Daniel Betts all getting doubles. The win was a great team effort with every player contributing with strong tackles and runs. Narooma finished scoring eight tries to Bega Roosters one.
The following game saw the Narooma U7's play against a bigger more experienced Bega Knights outfit. From the kick off the opposition were right on their game and shocked the Narooma team which quickly found themselves one try down. The Narooma Devils rallied and cut out silly mistakes with Daniel Betts making an inspiring run down the right wing and scored in the corner. Luke Barry scored his first try with a bustling run up the middle and all the team celebrated. The next passage of play saw the two teams test each other with Narooma busting and Bega scoring a try from an intercept to even the game up. Narooma were quick to fight back with Rueban Booth picking up a loose ball and scored to seal the win for the Devils. It was a great game defensively for the Devils who matched the strong Bega Knights team.
On Saturday the two Narooma U7 teams travelled to Eden to play the two Eden Tigers teams. Try scorers for the day were Sam Patmore, Rueban Booth and Daniel Betts with three or four tries each for the day and Sonny Dudley and Luke Barry also getting one each. The pleasing aspect of the two games was seeing the development of the players playing together and working as a team. Defensively Riley Allmond, Max, Hunter, Johnny, Bradley, Riley Hastie and CJ Bailey all worked in the middle with some great tackles. Tom, Kyler and Billie made big runs up the middle. Every player is improving weekly. Kicking the goals is not a strong point with only one conversion for the day. It was a big win, well done boys...
