Another local author and fellow society member, Shanna Provost opened proceedings to a crowded gallery, who enjoyed hearing excerpts from the very funny take on menopause written and illustrated by Rita. 

Menopause Makes Mummy Mental is proving to be a very popular book.

The gallery was packed with both men and women, creating a happy atmosphere, with lots of laughter.

Rita is an artist and writer of two published children’s books who lives at Mystery Bay.

This is her light-hearted look at a milestone in women’s lives to help families understand and sympathize with menopausal symptoms.

Rita has left a few signed copies at the gallery in case you missed the opening.
