Pat was born February 27, 1937 to parents Edna May Webb and Geoffrey Ariel. Pat had brothers James and Douglas, deceased.
In Pat’s early years she lived in Pendle Hill, Sydney, attending Parramatta Domestic Science School.
She enjoyed playing tennis, ice skating and music, especially the Banjo which she played live on commercial radio on Sunday mornings.
Her first job was in the clerical field at Zetland in Sydney. She moved on to jobs at the TAB, Safeways and in the tax domain working for HR Block and a private firm in Parramatta.
Pat married Robert Oliver Archer in 1958, the same year she was runner up in a beauty pageant in Sydney.
They had two children, Dale and Stefan giving Pat grandchildren Nicole and Kelly, Carina and Rebekah.
Pat also had four great grandchildren, Chloe and James, Lucas and Hayley.
Pat’s interests were gardening and bush walking.
Re-marrying in 1989 to Richard Bonn, they moved to Narooma in 1991. Pat volunteered her time to Vinnies where she worked for many years.
She became devoted to her house and garden, loved reading and playing scrabble and enjoying the sea change.
An active member of the local Narooma Sport and Gamefishing Club, Pat was a treasured member and was awarded Club Person of the Year for her efforts and dedication.
She regularly out-fished the boys capturing some very good fish.
With the onset of Macular Degeneration, Pat recently moved to the St. Georges Basin to be closer to her family and have a new house built.
Sadly, Pat received the keys to her new house while still in hospital.
Pat passed away peacefully at Karinya Palliative Care on June 3.
Many, many people will miss Pat, her gentle nature and gorgeous smile. Rest in Peace Pat, we were honoured to meet and be part of your life.
Pat’s funeral is at Shoalhaven Memorial Gardens and Lawn Cemetery, Worrigee Road, Worrigee, Nowra at 11am on Friday, June 13 followed by a wake at Shoalhaven Sportsman Club, Greenwell Point Road, Worrigee.
