Milko went fishing on the charter boat Nitro from for a bit of "play day" with skippers Benny Bolton and Nick Cowley of Charter Fish Narooma.
The boys got into a school of yellowfin tuna offshore from Narooma getting half a dozen and losing quite a few more.
Nick says it was a good day and they also had a mako shark on and saw some big 60kg yellowfin models jumping but could not get them.
The water temp was around 19 degrees and the small tuna took skirted lures.
It was a great day and "the best birthday present" for Milko who is regularly featured in the Narooma News fishing report for his dedicated estuary fishing with his specialty being panny snapper from his local suburban lake.
There have been a string of perfect winter flat-calm days off Narooma with reports of snapper and flathead biting as well.
