Blue Balls have now invited Numnutz to swim at Mumbulla Falls later in the year where the fresh water is very cold.
On Sunday, there were 28 were in attendance, 25 swam, and four Numnutz members were away on holidays.
Welcome to new “No-nuts” Chris and it was also an international swim with three Kiwis, one Irishman and a special guest from bonnie Scotland, Steph Ratcliffe’s brother.
After Bonox, coffee, milo and a shot of brown liquid it was back to the club with the Million Dollar View where host Paul O’Brien had the wood heater fired up - a much appreciated effort.
Once again chef Scotty Cavanagh from the Raw Prawn Bistro provided two great soups and toast.
As the fine master was away in Darwin, temporary fine master Scotty was much more gentle, however eight members were leaned for various breaches. Water temp was still mild at 18 degrees for Sunday in a row.
We have at the moment 19 confirmed members going to Australian winter swimming championships at Botany in the third weekend of September.
Any other members wishing to go must confirm in two weeks as air fares and accommodation need to be booked.
