Home games featured the U8 Redbacks versus Clyde, the U9 Whitetips versus Clyde, the U10/11 Whitetips versus Bodalla Gold and the U10/11 Spiders versus Bodalla Green.
U13s had a bye, so, sorry folks, no entertaining match report from Hoots their resident legendary soccer reporter.
Also at home, the Youth Boys played Moruya Blues. After a few weekends off, the lads struggled to find their usual top of the table form and went down 2 - 4. Highlights of the team performance were Pedro's determination to chase down the ball in the attacking half, his skill on the ball and a well-taken goal. Sam Jackson was on form in defence: Zac Wilson impressed in his first half game in goals: Keegan Peel was players' favourite for man of the match after an exceptional game in defence: Elliott Bendixsen scored another of his sweet long shots over the keeper's head. Coach-for-the-day, Nigel Jackson, awarded NSSC man of the match to Logan Sydenham who also had a great game in defence.
All Age Ladies then faced a strong Bateman's Bay team, who dominated the game scoring six goals to our nil. Congratulations to the AAL for their determination, it was unfortunate that none of the hard-chased long balls forward did not find the goal on the day.
The Youth Girls had better fortune. The combined Narooma/Bodalla team travelled to Surfside where they collected a 1 - 8 win.
Thanks to Judy Shoesmith (and her friend Robin) for once again running the canteen, helped by Eliska Wilson, Kevin Duck and others. Lavazza coffee now being served in the canteen - come and try one.
