A CAR crashed into a tree on Centenary Drive just off the Princes Highway, Narooma at 9.40pm Sunday.
Police allege the driver who was not injured called a friend to help but police and paramedics arrived on scene following a call from a witness.
The driver, a 42-year-old local, and her friend then tested positive for drink-driving and both were charged with several offences.
Assault arrest
POLICE arrested and charged a 26-year-old local man after an alleged unprovoked assault on an older man on Canty Street, Narooma at 1.40pm Friday.
Bystanders restrained the younger man until police arrived and he was taken to Moruya Hospital believed to be suffering psychosis, later charged with assault.
The older man sustained only superficial injuries.
Drug testing
A HIGHWAY Patrol and local police operation over the weekend in the Narooma, Dalmeny and Kianga area saw five drivers test positive for driving under the influence of drugs.
Cash stolen
JUST over $1000 was reported stolen from a property on Murrah Street, Bermagui sometime between 2.20pm Saturday, June 21 and 7.30am the following Monday.
Fraud charges
POLICE have charged a 22-year-old local man with fraud related offences after he allegedly used a company fuel card for unauthorised personal use.
School damage
A GLASS door at the front of Narooma High School was smashed on Friday morning, while external smoke detectors were smashed sometime over the weekend.
Rubbish dumped
POLICE are investigating building rubbish dumped at the rear of vacant block off Possum Place, Dalmeny sometime between November 30 and last week.
Bikes stolen
TWO mountain bikes were stolen from the Dalmeny campground after being left unsecured and in plain view. One was found and returned.
P-plate tickets
TWO drivers were issued with tickets for not displaying P-plates in Narooma on Monday, neither were teenagers.
