Narooma Devils go down to Eden Tigers

THE Devils took on Eden Tigers on Sunday in Eden. The Girls started the day off with a thrilling game.

Jaydean made great meters on the edges and Jade and Jodie with great offloads up the middle.

All the girls defended well with four back to back sets defending our line. With a late field goal attempt with 40 seconds to go unsuccessful, the score finished up a 12 all draw.

Reserve grade started well and were in the game for the first 15min but it went downhill from there.

Yuin Campbell had a great game along with Warren Foster who never stopped tackling and Scott Curry with great runs up the middle.

The Ref wouldn't give us a break and the score at the end was 74-18 to Eden.

1st Grade was a close match and it came down to the last 5 mins. The devils were unlucky and lost Pat Willis in the first 15mins.

Then we lost Justin Keegan with injury and we were down to two on the bench at half time and the score was 22-8 to Eden.

Devils came out firing after half time with Captain coach Todd Ayres taking hit up after hit up.

Riley Hextell was a machine in attack and defence we scored a couple of tries but couldn't convert the kicks 26-16to Eden.

With 5min to go Koorin Campbell went over to make the score 26-22 the boys tried hard until the end but couldn't get over the line with the final score remaining 26-22 to Eden.

The Devils Play Tathra this weekend at home on Sunday
