The commitment to training and outstanding performances to qualify for such an elite NSW swimming event is a great achievement by the Narooma swimmers.
The team of five swimmers made up of Banjo King, Sophie O'Meara, Ruby O'Meara, Georgia Pendergast and Sarah Smith applied excellent standards of swimming throughout the Championships resulting in 19 Personal Best (PB) times achieved out of 22 events entered.
The swimming achievements also resulted in three top 10 finalist performances from Banjo and five from Georgia.
In the relay events the 11 years and under girls team continued their climb up the rankings with Ruby, Sophie, Sarah and Georgia improving their team PB times in the 200m freestyle and the 200m medley relays.
The combined efforts of the swimmers resulted in Narooma Swim Club placing 32nd overall out of 80 teams in the race for NSW Country Champion Club.
Congratulations to everyone who competed and well done on another great meet representing Narooma Swim Club. Thanks again to the parents for their support of the team swimmers and to coach Rhett for his dedicated work with the team.
