Since July 1, the Australian Government has been providing $200 toward relationship education, marriage education and counselling services for up to 100,000 couples.
The initiative is open to all couples in a committed relationship, including engaged, married, de-facto and same sex couples.
The $200 relationship vouchers can be used to help couples throughout various stages of their lives together, including preparing for a long term commitment, marriage, starting a family, re-partnering and blending families, becoming a couple again after children leave home, and wanting to improve their relationship.
Residents of the Eurobodalla will be able to use the $200 relationship vouchers for a range of Relationships Australia’s services from their office in Campbell Street Moruya, in the old Shire Offices building.
“We can offer relationship support services such as counselling to individuals, couples and families, as well as mediation and Family Dispute Resolution,” Moruya based counsellor Jenni Kew said.
“Relationships Australia strives to ensure that all people have the necessary skills and support to build thriving and strong relationships, enhancing their lives as an individual, within family groups and in their communities.”
Relationships Australia is a not-for-profit community organisation that has been working with couples and families nationally for more than 60 years, assisting all Australians to build strong and positive relationships.
Eurobodalla couples can register for the $200 relationship voucher by visiting www.dss.gov.au/stronger relationships.
All eligible couples will receive a subsidy reference number and will need to provide this reference number to Relationships Australia when making their first appointment.
