The Lions must win this game if they are to play in the finals this year.
After a great win against Bega in their last game they then had the bye on Saturday.
The Lions juniors played last Saturday in cold windy conditions at Bermagui.
The U13 side played the first game in the difficult conditions against a well drilled Bermagui team, although Bermagui had a big win, Narooma matched this team in the ruck, where Lachlan Brenan is having a great year; Rory Spurgeon, Tom Hodge and Zaile Betts battled hard in defence while Jackson Taylor although injured played well in the forward line.
Tyson Wells and Harrison Bromwich played their best games for the year.
In the next game the Lions U16 team took on the Merimbula side, this game turned out to be a one sided affair with the Merimbula team missing many of their star players.
It was a great work out for the Narooma team, coach Mick Clothier tried players in different positions with great effect.
Luke Wiggins played a great game off the back line setting many scoring opportunities. Wiggins normally plays in the forward half.
Jeremy Sly, Jai Reed, Zak Wilson, Fred Hannebery and Jamie Dufield all had big games. Dufield kicked four goals some of them magical, the final score being Narooma 12.16=88 to Merimbula 2.1=13.
This week the U16 side plays the strong Pambula team at Eden, the U13 team plays Merimbula at Merimbula.
Important dates for the Lions players and supporters to remember are the AGM on Sunday, August 17 at 4pm, and the supporters $5000 draw on Saturday 16 at 7pm.
Both events are at the Narooma Golf Club, tickets for the draw are still available, see Bruce for information.
