A 41-year-old man, who was wanted on an arrest warrant, was arrested and charged after being detained by members of the public in Dalmeny on Wednesday evening, police said.

On August 10, police said the man had taken a Toyota Landcrusier from a Dalmeny club car park around 8pm.
“The owner of the vehicle and colleagues heard the vehicle start up and drive off. They followed and located the Toyota abandoned nearby,” a police spokesman said.
“The man was located a short distance away and was detained until police arrived.
“He was then placed under arrest by Narooma Police and charged at Batemans Bay Police Station.”
The man was charged with outstanding arrest warrant, three counts of driving while disqualified, driving dangerous, two counts of steal motor vehicle and driving unregistered and uninsured.
He was bail refused and will appear at Narooma Local Court on August 11.
